Midcentury Squash Blossom Necklace
Circa 1950. This gorgeous silver Navajo squash blossom necklace features the union of modernist style with the traditional squash blossom design. Each "tulip" of the necklace is adorned with a turquoise stone. The Naja consists of five tulips, each facing downward. It is said that if there is a turquoise stone hanging down in the center of Naja, it symbolizes a child in the womb.
This necklace measures 26 inches in length. The Nala measures 3 inches by 2.75 inches, and each tulip of silver measures 40mm.
