Edwardian Ruby & Diamond Ring
Dated 1912; Birmingham, England. This beautiful 18KT gold Edwardian ring features a pierced setting accented with three prong-set, oval mixed-cut natural rubies, and four bead-set, rose-cut diamonds. The rubies weigh .98 carats in total. And the accent diamonds weigh .06 carats. The inside shank is stamped with Birmingham hallmarks, and the makers mark JP & Co. The ring is approximately a size 7.5.
Appraised Value: $4,300
The ring measures 8.3mm at the top, rises 3.6mm above the finger, tapering to 2.6mm wide and 0.8mm thick at the base of the shank.
