Circa 1920 Old European-Cut Diamond Solitaire
Circa 1920. This beautiful English solitaire ring features a .42-carat old European-cut diamond set into a platinum-topped six-prong head. The 18KT yellow gold shank splits at the shoulders. The diamond exhibits SI1 clarity and G color. The shank is stamped with Birmingham, England hallmarks.
Appraised Value: $3,500.
The ring measures 6.1mm at the top, rises 3.3mm above the finger, tapering to 2.2mm wide and 1.1mm thick at the base of the shank.
