Victorian Carved Gutta-Percha Mourning Earrings
Each of these Victorian mourning earrings features a teardrop-shaped piece of gutta-percha carved with the face of a plump cherub. Black jewelry was popular in the late Victorian Era as Queen Victoria mourned the death of Prince Albert, and her populace followed suit.
The earrings measures 58mm long, 28mm at widest point.
