Victorian Blue Paste Cross
Circa 1900. This gorgeous Victorian silver cross features seven light blue faceted paste stones prong-set in silver crown-like settings. Paste is hard glass that, due to its higher refractive index, easily mimics the brilliance of real gemstones. Paste was difficult to produce and handcrafted with such nuance that the glass stones were used in high jewelry settings during the Georgian and Victorian Eras.
