Early-Victorian Citrine Fob
Circa 1840. This fabulous early-Victorian fob features a tall ship perched atop a knight's helmet, carved in citrine, and bezel set in 15KT gold. The ship represents a love of life and the propensity to steer one's course, while the knight upholds the crest. The way the knight is placed stands for rank. In this case, the knight faces to the side, and the helmet is closed, which indicates a gentleman - probably a lesser noble. We love to wear fobs as pendants - they look amazing on antique chains!
