Midcentury Diamond Ring with Baguettes
Circa 1950. This fabulous Midcentury platinum ring features a 1.67-carat old European-cut diamond set into a four-prong setting. The diamond exhibits S12 clarity and L color. The shoulders of the ring are each accented with one channel/prong-set, tapered baguette-cut diamond. The baguettes weigh .46 carats in total, with VS1-VS2 clarity and F-G color. The ring is approximately a size 5.75.
Appraised Value: $13,800
The ring measures 7.5mm at the top, rises 6.8mm above the finger, tapering to 2.5mm wide and 1.7mm thick at the base of the shank.
