Circa 1880; Spain. This majestic 14KT gold signet ring features a bezel-set carnelian intaglio with a four-panel shield depicting two bare-chested warriors and two bows. A star sits in the center. The coronet features nine palisades, which signify that the owner was a count. The shoulders of the ring are accented with repousse leaf and scroll motifs. The intaglio is in gorgeous condition. 

The top of the ring measures 1.8cm by 1.5cm. The carnelian measures 1.4cm by 1.25cm.
