Late-Georgian Diamond Ring
Circa 1840. This stunning late-Georgian ring features a single 2.23-carat old mine-cut natural diamond prong/bezel set in sterling silver. The diamond exhibits I1 clarity and K color. The 18KT yellow gold shank features hand-engraved details and sterling silver fleur-de-lis at the shoulders.
Appraised Value: $23,100
The ring measures 9.5mm at the top, rises 6.6mm above the finger, tapering to 1.9mm wide and 1.0mm thick at the base of the shank.
