Circa 1890.  This gorgeous Victorian festoon necklace features both faceted and flat-cut garnets prong-set in garnet gold. The design of the festoon necklace, which was popular in the 17th and 18th centuries, usually featured a floral, fruit, or foliage motif with extensions of the same design. This necklace measures 15.5 inches in length.
