Circa 1900. This beautiful Victorian necklace features banded agate beads on a silver chain. Banded agate was quite fashionable during the Victorian Era. These translucent gemstones were often used as talismans and were known as stones of protection. The necklace measures 16 inches in length and is finished with a 9KT gold clasp.

The largest bead measures 13mm in diamater at the widest point, tapering to 6mm in diameter. The necklace is finished with a 9KT gold clasp.
