Victorian Turquoise Cluster Pendant

$1,800.00
SKU A26569

Circa 1870. This striking Victorian pendant is crafted in 9KT gold and set with a sumptuous cluster of natural turquoise cabochons, arranged in a richly domed form that gives the piece wonderful depth and presence. Dating to the mid–to–late 19th century, the pendant exemplifies the Victorian love of vibrant color, intricate handwork, and symbolic design.

Dozens of hand-set turquoise stones form a dense, honeycomb-like surface, each framed in a delicately worked collet that highlights the natural variation and softness of the stones. The turquoise displays classic Old World hues—ranging from robin’s egg blue to a gentle blue-green—creating a lively, luminous effect that shifts beautifully with the light.

Turquoise was deeply cherished in Victorian jewelry, believed to offer protection and symbolize love and enduring affection. Pendants such as this were worn close to the heart, serving as both adornment and talisman.

The turquoise cluster pendant measures 1.5 inches long, including the bail, and 1.25 inches wide.
