Victorian Pietra Dura Floral Earrings
Circa 1870. Crafted in Italy during the mid to late 19th century, these exquisite Victorian drop earrings feature finely detailed pietra dura inlays—an intricate mosaic technique in which hardstones are hand-set into polished black onyx. Each oval panel displays a delicate white floral motif composed of natural hardstones, symbolizing purity and elegance. The inlays are framed in warm 18KT yellow gold with ornate cannetille-style scrollwork connecting the upper and lower elements. A smaller oval floral inlay crowns each earring, adding visual harmony and historical charm. Lightweight yet statement-worthy, these earrings exemplify the fine craftsmanship and romantic sensibility of the Grand Tour era. These earrings are in fantastic condition!
