Midcentury Navajo (Dine') Squash Blossom Turquoise Necklace
Circa 1940 - 1960. This beautiful midcentury squash blossom necklace is a classic example of traditional Navajo (Diné) silverwork, crafted with a double strand of handmade silver beads and adorned with turquoise-set squash blossoms leading to a striking naja pendant. The necklace is set with natural turquoise cabochons displaying blue-to-blue-green hues with a dark matrix, consistent with mid-century Southwestern material commonly associated with mines such as Kingman.
While unsigned—as is typical of many authentic pieces from this era—the necklace exhibits the thoughtful proportions, hand-crafted construction, and honest materials that define quality vintage squash-blossom necklaces.
