Midcentury Diamond & Sapphire Ring
Circa 1950. This modernist Midcentury 14K yellow gold ring is accented with 13 old European/single-cut diamonds bead-set in a platinum setting. The side faces of the ring are each accented with two bezel-set, round cabochon-cut natural sapphires. The diamonds weigh .66 carats in total, with VVS2-I1 clarity and F-J color. The sapphires weigh .60 carats.
Appraised Value: $3,300
The ring measures 12.2mm at the top, rises 5.3mm above the finger, tapering to 2.5mm wide and 1.1mm thick at the base of the shank.
