Edwardian French Diamond Filigree Brooch/Pendant
Circa 1920. This fabulous French platinum brooch/pendant features Edwardian-style with early Art Deco influence. The intricate platinum openwork design is set with a total of seventy-seven (77) diamonds, including a mix of old European-cut and rose-cut diamonds, evenly distributed throughout the geometric filigree pattern. The diamonds weigh 1.10 carats in total, with VVS2-SI2 clarity and G-H color. The reverse of the piece is fitted with an 18KT yellow gold pin stem and catch, allowing it to be worn as a brooch. An 18KT yellow gold hinged bail is integrated at the top, enabling conversion to a pendant. The gold and platinum elements are stamped with French hallmarks. "55584" is engraved on the side face of the brooch/pendant.
