Dating to circa 1910, this Edwardian Toi et Moi ring is crafted in platinum-topped 18KT yellow gold and set with two old European-cut diamonds facing one another across a gracefully curved shank.

The two principal diamonds weigh approximately 2.00 carats in total, with VS1-VS2 clarity and L-M color. Ten bead-set single-cut diamonds, totaling approximately .20 carats with SI2-I1 clarity and I-J color, trace the ring's sweeping shoulders.

Toi et Moi, French for “You and Me,” describes a ring in which two principal gemstones come together in a single design. The style became famously associated with romantic jewelry after Napoleon Bonaparte presented Joséphine de Beauharnais with a two-stone engagement ring in 1796.
