Early-Victorian Enamel & Diamond Ring

Circa 1860. This stunning Victorian ring dates from the late Romantic Period.  The sterling silver ring features a sterling silver diamond flower atop a backdrop of cobalt-blue enamel. The flower is accented with 20 bead-set, rose-cut diamonds. The ring is also accented with 36 bead-set, old mine-cut diamonds set into sterling silver settings. Both the under gallery and the shank are constructed of 14KT yellow gold. The diamonds weigh 1.62 carats in total, with SI1-I1 clarity and I-J color. It's rare to find a beautiful piece like this one (over 150 years old!) in such wonderful condition.

The ring measures 21.6mm at the top, rises 6.5mm above the finger, tapering to 1.2mm wide and 0.8mm thick at the base of the shank. This ring is currently a size 7 ½.
