Art Deco Mine-Cut Diamond Ring
Dating to circa 1930, this Art Deco ring features a .55-carat old mine-cut natural diamond with SI1 clarity and H color, secured in a four-prong 14KT white gold setting. A square mounting frames the diamond, with tiered shoulders decorated with raised navette and baguette motifs that taper into the polished shank.
The symmetrical arrangement of elongated and geometric forms creates a distinctly architectural composition, with the sculpted white gold providing ornamentation without additional gemstones.
Art Deco jewelers frequently incorporated stepped forms, geometric repetition, and contrasting surface textures into their designs. In this ring, the raised metalwork echoes baguette- and marquise-cut gemstones, showing how the setting itself can create the visual rhythm usually associated with multiple stones.
Appraised Value: $4,550
The ring measures 5.7mm at the top, rises 6.6mm above the finger, tapering to 1.1mm wide and 0.8mm thick at the base of the shank.
Ring sizing is complimentary for most of our pieces and takes approximately two weeks to complete. If the ring needs to be sized up two or more sizes, an additional charge will be applied, depending on the piece.
