1960s Saltwater Pearl Strand with Fancy Clasp

Circa 1960.  This elegant late Midcentury strand features 70 cultured white saltwater pearls, each displaying a soft rosy overtone and luminous surface glow. The pearls are beautifully matched, creating a graceful 24-inch silhouette. The strand is finished with a striking 14KT gold clasp designed as a sculptural knot, centered with a cultured saltwater pearl and accented by six prong-set round natural rubies. The rubies, totaling approximately 0.24 carats, exhibit a vibrant red hue, adding a flash of color. 

Both decorative and functional, the clasp serves as a focal point — allowing the necklace to be worn traditionally at the back or styled with the clasp in front.
