Edwardian Sapphire & Diamond Ring

$3,600.00
SKU A27437

Circa 1910. Crafted in rich 18KT gold, this elegant ring features three round mixed-cut sapphires alternating with two old European-cut diamonds, all set within a scalloped gallery. The sapphires weigh approximately .48 carats in total, while the diamonds weigh approximately .16 carats in total, with SI2-I1 clarity and H-I color.

Sapphires have long symbolized loyalty, wisdom, and fidelity, while diamonds represent enduring love and strength, making their pairing especially meaningful in jewelry intended to commemorate important milestones.

The interior of the shank bears the inscription: GM to JC 5/7/20. This engraving suggests the ring may have been given as a wedding, anniversary, or sentimental gift.

Appraised Value:  $3,900

The ring measures 5.8mm wide at the top, rises 3.7mm above the finger, tapering to 2.7mm wide and 1.3mm thick at the base of the shank.

"GM to JC 5/7/20" is engraved on the inside shank. The maker's mark "L&W" and gold mark "18ct" are stamped on the inside shank.

Ring sizing is complimentary for most of our pieces and takes approximately two weeks to complete. If the ring needs to be sized up by 2 or more sizes, an additional charge will apply, depending on the piece.
