Art Deco Ruby & Diamond Halo Ring
Circa 1920. This fabulous Art Deco ring features a 2.10-carat cushion mixed-cut natural red ruby bezel set in the center of the ring. Accenting the ruby are 12 round old European-cut, bead-set diamonds, with SI1-SI2 clarity and F-G color. The diamonds weigh .84 carats in total. The platinum gallery has been soldered to a 14KT white gold filigree shank. The gallery features a pierced design and is bordered with milgrain edging. The filigree shank also features a pierced design and is engraved with floral and wheat motifs.
Appraised Value: $26,500
The ring measures 15.9mm at the top, rises 6.2mm above the finger, tapering to 1.8mm wide and 1.0mm thick at the base of the shank.
