Circa 1910 Halley's Comet-Inspired Diamond Stickpin
Circa 1910. Created at the height of public fascination with Halley’s Comet, this diamond stickpin reflects the era’s celestial design language. The radiating, plume-like form and elongated silhouette evoke the motion and brilliance of a comet streaking across the night sky — a motif that briefly captivated Edwardian jewelers during the comet’s celebrated return. This stickpin is accented with 33 diamonds, including five old European-cut diamonds and 28 round single-cut diamonds. The diamonds are arranged in graduated rows along the starburst elements, with a circular diamond cluster anchoring the motif's base. The diamonds weigh 1.30 total carats, with SI1-SI2 clarity and H-I color. The pin stem is slender and straight, tapering to a sharp point for secure wear.
