Victorian Gold & Diamond Interlaced Bracelet

Dating to circa 1890, this Victorian bracelet is crafted in 18KT yellow gold with a repeating series of sculptural, interlaced links. Slender bands of gold sweep over and around platinum-set panels accented with 32 natural rose-cut diamonds totaling .16 carats.

Rather than functioning as individual focal stones, the diamonds become part of the bracelet's rhythm. Small knotted connectors continue the pattern between them, making the design feel uninterrupted around the wrist.

Rose-cut diamonds were particularly well suited to jewelry designed around texture rather than intense brilliance. With their flat bases and faceted domed surfaces, rose cuts produce a softer shimmer than later brilliant cuts.
