Navajo (Dine') Geometric Sterling Silver Cuff by Gene Jackson

$575.00
SKU CH3797

Circa 1950–1970. This bold Navajo (Diné) sterling silver cuff showcases classic overlay craftsmanship. The design features a repeating stepped-lightning motif, meticulously cut from a top layer of silver and set against a deeply oxidized ground, creating a striking contrast and depth. The cuff is substantial in weight yet comfortable to wear, with softly rounded edges and a smooth inner band. The cuff is signed "Jackson" and was most likely crafted by Gene (and possibly Martha) Jackson. This piece reflects the mid-20th-century transition when Navajo silversmiths began experimenting with clean, geometric forms influenced by Hopi overlay traditions. Its timeless graphic appeal makes it an elegant and wearable example of vintage Native American artistry.
