Art Deco French Diamond Sapphire Watch

Circa 1930. This stunning Art Deco platinum wristwatch is bordered with milgrain edging. It is accented with two bead-set, round old European-cut diamonds, 113 bead-set, round single-cut diamonds, six channel-set, baguette-cut natural sapphires, and four bezel-set, triangular step-cut natural sapphires. The crown is bezel-set with one sapphire high-domed cabochon. The dial features black Arabic numerals and blue steel hands. The movement is an unsigned manual wind, fully jeweled movement. The case is engraved with peacock and cherub motifs. The inside of the case is stamped with a French platinum hallmark and the reference number 126.
