Victorian Ruby & Diamond Ring

$4,000.00
SKU A27219

Dated 1908; Chester, England. Hallmarked in Chester in 1908, this handsome antique ring is crafted in rich 18KT gold and set with a vibrant combination of natural rubies and old mine-cut diamonds. The diamonds weigh approximately .56 carats, with SI2-I1 clarity and G color. The rubies weigh approximately .15 carats.

The ring's pierced gallery lends depth and lightness to the mounting while showcasing the era's craftsmanship. The arrangement reflects the enduring popularity of ruby-and-diamond combinations during the late Victorian and early Edwardian periods, when jewelers favored balanced, symmetrical designs enhanced by richly colored gemstones.

Rubies have long symbolized passion, vitality, and prosperity, while diamonds represent enduring strength and devotion.
