Circa 1890. This Victorian snake ring is rendered in richly polished 18KT gold, designed as a coiled serpent wrapping fluidly around the finger. The head is set with a graduated line of old European-cut diamonds, their softly faceted sparkle contrasting beautifully against the warm gold body of the snake. The diamonds weigh approximately .18 carats in total.

Snake motifs held deep symbolic significance throughout the Victorian era, representing eternal love, fidelity, rebirth, and protection. Their popularity surged after Prince Albert presented Queen Victoria with a serpent engagement ring in 1839, cementing the motif as a defining romantic symbol of the 19th century.

The ring is approximately a size 7.75.

Ring sizing is complimentary for most of our pieces and takes approximately two weeks to complete. If the ring needs to be sized up by 2 or more sizes, an additional charge will apply, depending on the piece.
