Art Nouveau Brooch Enamel Flower Brooch

Circa 19. This 14KT gold Art Nouveau brooch features a delicately enameled violet blossom nestled within a softly contoured, openwork heart frame. The flower is rendered in rich blue-to-violet guilloché enamel, centered with a luminous pearl and accented by an additional pearl drop.

The flowing gold lines and asymmetrical curves reflect the Art Nouveau fascination with nature, organic forms, and emotional symbolism. Violets—often associated with modesty, faithfulness, and enduring love—were a favored motif of the period.

Housed in a period-fitted box from G. Fröberg, a Stockholm jeweler established in 1923, the brooch itself was crafted earlier, during the Art Nouveau period, circa 1900.
