Circa 1850. This handmade early Victorian memorial necklace features ten strands of garnet beads accented with two exquisite clasps. Each clasp is accented with a brown dendritic motif made with beautifully worked hair. Fifty-four square step-cut garnets halo the two clasps. The garnets weigh 2.16 carats in total. The metal is silver and 18KT yellow gold.
