Vintage Zuni Turquoise Ring
Circa 1970. This lovely 14KT yellow gold vintage turquoise ring was crafted by Native American Zuni artists Lee and Mary Weebothee. The Weebothees, whose work has spanned four decades, are considered to be some of the most talented silversmiths and lapidarists to come out of Zuni. This ring features seven bezel-set, round cabochon-cut natural turquoise, bordered with rope motifs. The cabochons are encircled by domed turquoise. The total weight of the turquoise is 3.70 carats. This piece is signed "Lee Mary Zuni."
Appraised Value: $4,500
The ring measures 19.4mm at the top, rises 12.7mm above the finger, tapering to 1.8mm wide and 1.7mm thick at the base of the shank.
