Victorian Sapphire & Diamond Halo Ring
Circa 1900. This lovely Victorian ring features a silver-topped 18KT yellow gold double halo-style setting. In the center of the setting is a .88-carat bead-set, oval mixed-cut natural blue sapphire, bordered with a total of 43 bead-set, old mine/old European-cut diamonds. Each shoulder of the ring is accented with a row of three bead-set, old mine/old European-cut diamonds. The diamonds weigh.43 carats total, with SI2-I1 clarity and H-I color.
Appraised Value: $5,800.
The ring measures 12.5mm at the top, rises 5.3mm above the finger, tapering to 1.2mm wide and 0.8mm thick at the base of the shank.
