Victorian Ruby & Diamond Snake Ring

Dated 1898; Chester, England. This beautiful Victorian ring features two entwined 18KT gold snakes. One is adorned with a ruby, another is adorned with a diamond. Snake rings were all the rage after Queen Victoria was given a snake engagement ring from Prince Albert, symbolizing eternal love.

The ring measures 9mm wide and 11mm across tapering to 2mm at the narrowest point of the shank. It is approximately a size 5.75.
