Victorian Amethyst and Seed Pearl Ring
Dated 1873; Birmingham, England. This beautiful 15KT yellow gold Victorian ring features six, prong/bezel-set seed pearls. Three faceted amethysts sit on the North, South, and central points of the ring. Seed pearls were extremely popular in the Victorian era. While they symbolized tears when adorning mourning jewelry, these small pearls also symbolized purity when used in other pieces.
The ring measures 13mm long and 10mm wide. The shank is 6mm at the top, tapering to 2mm at the bottom.
We size the majority of our rings; sizing takes approximately two weeks and is complimentary for most pieces, with the occasional exception.
