Retro Wristwatch with Ruby & Diamond Cover

Circa 1940. This gorgeous 14KT yellow/rose gold Retro-Era wristwatch features a cover accented with 15 bead/bezel-set, round single-cut diamonds, and 24 prong-set, round mixed-cut natural rubies. The diamonds weigh .43 carats, with VS2-SI1 clarity and F-G color. The rubies weigh 1.50 carats and exhibit a robust purplish-red saturation. This hinged cover opens to reveal a champagne-colored dial with blue steel hands. The movement is a manual wind, 17-jewel, Consolidated Watch Company movement. The movement is in working order. The watch is finished with a 14KT yellow gold brick link style bracelet and has been cleaned and restored.
