Midcentury Pear Tourmaline Ring with Diamond Halo
Circa 1950. This stunning Midcentury platinum ring features a gorgeous 5.88-carat pear mixed cut, rubellite tourmaline in a full bezel setting. The tourmaline is surrounded by a halo, bead-set with 19 round single-cut diamonds. The shoulders are accented with four round single-cut diamonds. The diamonds weigh .71 carats in total, with VS1-VS2 clarity and G-H color. The setting is further accented with milgrain details.
Appraised Value: $8,900
The ring measures 19.0mm at the top, rises 7.2mm above the finger, tapering to 1.4mm wide and 1.0mm thick at the base of the shank.
