Art Deco French Square Diamond Ring
Circa 1920. This beautiful Art Deco French ring features a 1.04-carat bezel-set, round transitional brilliant-cut diamond, with SI2 clarity and K color. The central stone is bordered with four bezel-set, old European-cut diamonds. The five diamonds are set within a square platinum frame accented with 40 bead-set, round single-cut diamonds. Each shoulder of the ring is accented with one bezel-set, old European-cut diamond, and three bezel-set, round single-cut diamonds. All of these accent diamonds weigh 1.48 carats in total, with SI1-I1 clarity and F-H color. The outside of the shank is stamped with a French platinum hallmark.
Appraised Value: $18,400
The ring measures 16.3mm at the top, rises 5.0mm above the finger, tapering to 1.4mm wide and 1.2mm thick at the base of the shank.
