Edwardian Sapphire & Diamond Halo Ring
Circa 1910. This lovely 18KT gold Edwardian halo ring features a central cushion mixed-cut natural blue sapphire set into a ten-prong head. The sapphire is bordered with 10 prong-set, old mine-cut diamonds. The sapphire weighs .85 carats; the diamonds weigh .81 carats total, with SI1-SI2 clarity and H-I color.
Appraised Value: $5,500.
The ring measures 12.7mm at the top, rises 6.8mm above the finger, tapering to 1.8mm wide and 0.9mm thick at the base of the shank.
