Edwardian Guilloche Enamel Navette Ring
Circa 1910. This stunning Edwardian-era navette ring features seed pearls set in a 14KT gold setting - edged in milgrain on a blue enamel background with an underlying guilloche design. In this exceptional piece, the engraved base metal is covered with powdered enamel, which melts in high heat and allows the intricate pattern to shine through. Faberge was famous for using this technique with his popular Easter eggs.
The ring measures 30.3mm at the top, rising to 5mm above the finger, tapering to 2.8mm wide and 1.2mm thick at the base of the shank.
We size the majority of our rings; sizing takes approximately two weeks and is no additional cost to our clients with the occasional exception.
