Edwardian Diamond & Onyx Figure Eight Cocktail Ring
Circa 1910. This amazing Edwardian ring features two bezel-set, old European-cut diamonds surrounded by 22 channel-set, calibre'-cut black onyx stones, and 28 bead-set, rose/single-cut diamonds. Each shoulder of the ring is accented with nine bead-set, rose-cut diamonds (18 total). The larger diamonds weigh .58 carats total, with VS1-VS2 clarity and F color. The onyx stones weigh .22 total carats. The accent diamonds weigh .18 carats total, with SI1-SI2 clarity and H-I color. The gemstones are set in platinum atop a 14KT yellow gold shank.
Appraised Value: $6,800.
The ring measures 14.9mm at the top, rises 4.4mm above the finger, tapering to 1.2mm wide and 1mm thick at the base of the shank.
