Early-Victorian Garnet & Diamond Ring
Circa 1850. This gorgeous 18KT yellow gold Victorian-era ring from the Romantic Period features a bezel-set, oval mixed-cut natural rhodolite garnet weighing .58 carats. The garnet is flanked on either side by one bead-set, old European cut diamond. The diamonds weigh .22 carats in total, with VS2-SI1 clarity and G-H color.
Appraised Value: $3,100
The ring measures 8.5mm at the top, rises 3.0mm above the finger, tapering to 1.5mm wide and 0.7mm thick at the base of the shank.
