Victorian Diamond Palace Pocket Watch
Circa 1880. This is a gorgeous Victorian pocket watch made by A. Andrews of The Diamond Palace in San Francisco, California. The pocket watch features a 14KT yellow gold hunter-style case that is ornately engraved and made by the Courvoisier & Wilcox Manufacturing Company (Case No. 42948) The front of the case is monogrammed. The back of the case features a gold-in-quartz cabochon inlay in a star pattern. The dial color is white with black Arabic numerals and a seconds sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position. The jeweled manual wind movement is signed "The Diamond Palace, San Francisco, Cal" and is numbered 45411.
