c. 1900 Ruby & Diamond Bypass Ring
Circa 1900. This lovely platinum-topped 18KT gold late Victorian bypass ring features two bezel-set round mixed-cut natural purplish-red rubies weighing 1.40 carats total. Accenting the rubies are six bezel-set old European-cut diamonds and two smaller old European-cut diamonds. The diamonds weigh .75 diamonds total with VS1-VS2 clarity and G-H color.
Appraised Value: $9,650
The ring measures 11.3mm at the top, rising to 3.7mm above the finger, tapering to 1.3mm wide and 1mm thick at the base of the shank.
