Late-Midcentury Blue Topaz Ring with Removable Stone
Circa 1960. This gorgeous Late-Midcentury cocktail ring features a stunning 17.50-carat emerald-cut natural blue topaz set into a unique 18KT gold four-prong setting. The setting is hinged to allow the center stone to be removed and is secured with two safety clasps. The head and shoulders of the ring feature a pierced design with floral motifs. The top of each prong is accented with one bezel-set ruby. The shoulders of the ring are each accented with one bezel-set ruby. The rubies weigh .06 carats.

The ring measures 19.3mm at the top, rises 9.7mm above the finger, tapering to 3.2mm wide and 0.7mm thick at the base of the shank.
