Vintage Pearl Bird Brooch

Circa 1970-80. This amazing nature-inspired brooch features a baroque-shaped cultured pearl bird accented with a ruby eye and diamond tail feathers. A gemstone nest sits among 14KT gold branches. The nest is accented with four prong-set, round mixed-cut natural rubies and is haloed with 16 bead-set, round single-cut diamonds. The rubies weigh .38 carats in total. The diamonds weigh .55 carats in total, with SI2-I1 clarity and G-H color.
