Art Deco Ruby & Diamond Halo Ring
Circa 1920. This splendid Art Deco ring features a central round mixed-cut natural ruby set into an eight-prong head, surrounded by 10 prong-set, old European-cut diamonds. The top of the 18KT gold shank is accented with three bead-set, rose-cut diamonds on each side (six total). The central claret-colored ruby weighs 1.50 carats. The accent diamonds weigh .68 carats total, with an SI1-I1 clarity range and I-L color range.
Appraised Value: $6,700.
The ring measures 10.9mm at the top, rises 6.1mm above the finger, tapering to 1mm wide and .6mm thick at the base of the shank. It is approximately a size 4.75
