
Art Deco Synthetic Sapphire & Diamond Checkerboard Ring
Circa 1930. This stunning platinum Art Deco ring features a 1.57-carat bezel-set, old European-cut diamond bordered with eight bead-set, round single-cut diamonds, eight bead-set, round brilliant-cut diamonds, and sixteen channel-set, rectangular French-cut synthetic blue sapphires. Each shoulder of the ring is accented with two bead-set, round single-cut diamonds, and two channel-set, rectangular French-cut synthetic blue sapphires. The center stone exhibits I1 clarity and G color. The accent diamonds weigh 1.20 carats total, with VS1-VS2 clarity and F-G color. The synthetic sapphires weigh 6 carats. The ring is approximately a size 6.25.

The ring measures 24.5mm at the top, rises 9.4mm above the finger, tapering to 2.0mm wide and 1.2mm thick at the base of the shank.
