
Art Deco Diamond Ring with Synthetic Sapphire Accents
Circa 1930. This fabulous Art Deco platinum ring features a central 1.02-carat round transitional brilliant-cut diamond set into a four-prong head. The diamond exhibits VS1 clarity and I color. The ring is accented with six bezel-set, triangle French-cut synthetic blue sapphires, and 20 bead-set, round single-cut diamonds. The accent diamonds weigh .20 carats total, with SI1-SI2 clarity and E-F color. The synthetic sapphires weigh .18 carats total. The setting is engraved with floral and wheat motifs and bordered with milgrian edging.
Appraised Value: $14,250.
The ring measures 10.1mm at the top, rises 6.1mm above the finger, tapering to 1.1mm wide and 1.0mm thick at the base of the shank.
