Art Deco Diamond Ring with Synthetic Sapphires
Circa 1920. This stunning platinum Art Deco ring features a central 1.52-carat old European-cut diamond, GIA certified with SI1 clarity and I color. The diamond is bordered with four bead-set, round single-cut diamonds. Each shoulder of the ring is accented with three channel-set, calibre' French-cut synthetic blue sapphires, and two rows of four bead-set, round single-cut diamonds. The accent diamonds weigh .20 carats in total, with I1-I2 clarity and E-F color. Engraved wheat motifs accent the top half of the ring.
Appraised Value: $19,700
The ring measures 8.2mm at the top, rises 5.5mm above the finger, tapering to 1.7mm wide and 1.4mm thick at the base of the shank. It is currently a size 5 ¾.
