Circa 1860. Cut-steel jewelry's popularity ran from the mid-1600s through the late 19th century. Because it was accessible to the masses, cut-steel jewelry was in great demand. The high corrosive property of steel makes it difficult to find antique pieces in excellent condition. However, this beautiful pair of cut-steel earrings is one such treasure.
The large circular part of the earrings measures 36mm in diameter.  They measures 63mm in length. The earrings are finished with a shepherd's hook.
